Galilee Falafel & Shawarma
That’s a powerful and heartfelt journey—it’s not just a restaurant, it’s a legacy rooted in family, tradition, and a love of sharing flavor with the world.
The Story Behind Galilee Falafel & Shawarma
Galilee Falafel & Shawarma began not as a business, but as a dream born in a small village nestled in the Galilee mountains. In 1991, a young boy had his first taste of culinary life when his father took him to work in the kitchen. That day lit a fire—one of passion, curiosity, and devotion—that’s burned ever since.
By age 16, he was working full-time as an assistant chef in the historic port city of Akko. Over the years, he sharpened his craft across cities like Tel Aviv, Ashdod, and Rehovot, becoming a devoted chef of shawarma and falafel.
In 2001, while beginning his studies at the University of Minnesota, he took on his first chef position in the United States with Minneapolis’s beloved Falafel King. His lifelong journey in the kitchen helped him craft a style uniquely his own—infused with creativity, but always faithful to his Galilee roots.
In 2002, he joined hands with his wife Eman, a talented pastry chef, and together they opened the first location of Galilee Falafel & Shawarma in Lake Worth, Texas.
Their mission is simple: to bring the soul of the Galilee to every plate, every pita, and every person who walks through the door.
